Think You’re Pregnant? Confidently Navigate Your Unplanned Pregnancy
If you think you might be pregnant, you may feel scared, worried or overwhelmed. InnerVisions Healthcare staff is a group of compassionate nonjudgmental medical professionals who care about you and your health. To ease your mind, our staff embraces you with compassion and truth.
The first step to see if you are pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. InnerVisions provides free lab-certified pregnancy tests with same-day results. We use reliable medical grade pregnancy tests with the most accurate reading. Our staff will not pressure you to talk about your pregnancy, but we will be there for you to answer your questions and give you the information you need to make the best decision for you.
What to Expect When You Come In For Your Pregnancy Test
A pregnancy appointment includes testing, an ultrasound, and support services; time varies by patient, but we recommend you plan on approximately 90 minutes. The pregnancy test is as simple as peeing in a cup. The registered nurse will take care of the rest for you. If the pregnancy test is positive, we provide a free ultrasound. The purpose of the ultrasound, also referred to as a sonogram, is to confirm if the pregnancy is viable. If the pregnancy is not viable, then the body is most likely to miscarry naturally. An ultrasound will also determine how far along you are, which will help determine which options are available to you. Finally, it is very important to confirm that the pregnancy is in the uterus. If it is not then the medical staff will direct you for immediate care.
Whether you are considering termination, parenting, or adoption, there are different procedures and other medical issues that vary based upon how many weeks pregnant you are. The only way to know exactly how far along you are is by having an ultrasound exam.
InnerVisions works hard to create a safe and enjoyable experience at our clinic so you will be comfortable coming in alone. You are also more than welcome to bring a family member, friend or support person with you to your pregnancy test appointment.
